These terms govern your use of the MoneyWise iOS app and this website.

1. Who we are

MoneyWise is operated by an individual developer (referred to as “we” or “us” below). Contact: bellehou2026@gmail.com.

2. What MoneyWise is

MoneyWise is a personal finance tracker. It helps you record transactions, set budgets, and analyze your money. It is not a financial institution, broker, tax advisor, or investment advisor. Nothing in MoneyWise is financial advice. You are responsible for your own financial decisions.

3. Free and Pro tiers

• Free: unlimited use on a single device, no account required.
• Pro: monthly or annual auto-renewing subscription sold through the Apple App Store. Price shown at purchase time is authoritative. Cancellation is managed through your Apple ID subscriptions.

4. Your data

Your financial records belong to you. See the Privacy Policy for full details on storage and handling.

5. Acceptable use

Don’t use MoneyWise to:

• violate any law;
• reverse-engineer the app beyond what applicable law allows;
• interfere with the cloud sync service’s operation.

6. AI features

The AI advisor uses either your own API key (Free) or pooled credits (Pro). The advisor’s output may be wrong, outdated, or misleading. Do not rely on it for tax filings, investment decisions, or legal conclusions.

7. Third-party data

Market quotes in the Investments module come from third-party providers. We don’t guarantee their accuracy, timeliness, or completeness. For personal use only.

8. No warranty

MoneyWise is provided as is, without warranty of any kind. Use at your own risk. To the fullest extent permitted by law, we disclaim all warranties.

9. Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, our liability is limited to the amount you paid us in the last 12 months (which may be $0 if you use the Free tier).

10. Changes

We may update these terms. For material changes, we’ll show a notice in-app at next launch. Continued use after an update means you accept the new terms.

11. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of Singapore, without regard to conflict-of-laws rules.
